09-05-22 Effort tiring

The moon’s hanging low,
above fields of young green corn,
and flutter of wings.

The wind from the east,
casts a chill across the land,
but warms to sunshine.

I’m searching for truth,
yet hope it never finds me;
costly repentance.

I dream a work scene,
and I fix it with strangeness,
and dream it again.
