Monday 31/12/18 explanation

I am taking the opportunity to explain some of my thinking. Yes, it is wacky and little far out there, but I am comfortable with this.

I enjoy finding new right-sounding names for people in the news, Cycle Mauve (Michael Gove) is the Ponderable Peck and Bury for the Environment, I think.

There is Bum Hole Bump (Donald Trump) and of course, a bum hole bump is known as piles or to some ‘a pain in the ass’.

There is Borish Pun Son (Boris Johnson) and of course Too Greasy Grey the Grime Grinster (I will let you work that one out). It could also be Too Easy Day the Lime Ginster.

This is not about Haiku but they complement and enhance this Haiku Book. I still have to stay faithful to the 5, 7, 5 formats for the Haiku.

The Haiku’s my thing
I’ll do one or two daily,
On something I like.

A Haiku poem,
As complex as simple is.
As simple as life.

I need to write more,
The pen needs to kiss the page.
The words will follow.

Bump’s wall troubles,
Is it a wall or a fence?
US scratch their heads.

The length of the wall,

Bum Hole Bump just doesn’t know.

He thinks some is built.

It’s tree hater Mauve,
He is out to cut down trees.
In our streets and towns.

So what did they do?

These trees lined along the streets,

A touch of nature.

I’m just exploring,
Some words, sounds and images,
In my Haiku book.

Don’t like politics
But somethings just annoy me,
Providing focus.

For twenty nineteen,
I’ve some new roads to follow,
And some more to find.

I nearly missed it,
My one Haiku for today.
It’s worth waiting for!

A message from Mauve,
He says his name is Cycle!
But that’s so silly.

Some under peck and bury.
You can’t make it up!

Plastic Bag Twit ‘Mauve‘,
‘Likes Balls Mauve‘ says carry on,
Or bring your own bag.

The Environment,
Needs much attention and care,
Not any Mauve twits.

Its plastic bag Gove,

Ten pence for taking the Mick,

Who’s the real rubbish.

Victory has come,

In a silly game I won.

Moved to next level.

Thursday 27/12/18

I went for a walk,
Took photos of the sunset,
Through the misty trees.

Listen to Chopin,
Nocturnes op. 9 number 2
Keeps me note hanging.

The time slips away,
Quickly hours turn into days,
I mark the moments.

Marking the moments,
With the things that I do and say,
the challenge – a book!

The last few minutes,
Challenge me to write Haiku,
Good or bad – that’s it!

Boxing Day

The day starts quiet,
Cup of tea and newspapers,
They begin to wake.

Put the world on pause,
We do like to kid ourselves,
Safely far away.

What will change for good,
In the year to come, I ask.
I focus on myself.

We can’t change others,
But we can sure change ourselves,
Make a difference.

There is much I want do, positive things in 2019

It is good to think,
And wonder what you’d do then,
If you had a chance.

Time now races on,
Challenging all to catch up,
Use well don’t waste it.

Finally, I rest,
A while to collect my thoughts,
Write them in my book.
