A winters sunset,
something good to remember,
even though it’s cold.
Is Friday fry day,
fish and chips and mushy peas,
now I am hungry.
Ironing my shirts,
as few can, and fewer will;
it is an art form.

29-12-22 Guidance
Time tumbles, tripping,
down through the steep day valleys,
and steeper they get.
Turn to a new page,
and resurrect your writing,
that’s languishing.
Success can look strange,
and sometimes it is messy,
but hold that success.
28-12-22 Words heard
I dived for treasure,
and found it on the sea floor;
a case of ice creams.
Line by line they went,
checking every word was straight,
then they spelled it out.
A nice comfy chair,
it best for motivation,
and a little snooze.
27-12-22 And it did rain
It’s sunny and bright,
but clouds race across the sky,
fleeing unseen storms.
The clouds formed up strong,
in the evening sky last night,
looking for a fight.
A star wandering,
in the cold night sky last night,
caught me eye and winked.
The rain tumbled down,
and falling hard on the ground,
was dancing around.
26-12-22 Boxing it
Up early today,
had a shower, got breakfast,
wearing my new socks.
The time vanishes,
into many yesterdays,
that pull on today.
Rumours move quickly,
and at twice the speed of truth;
pull up the teller.
25-12-22 Christmas Breakfast
It’s Christmas morning,
I’m wrapping up, washing up,
and going to bed.
There around the tree,
decked with bright lights and bubbles,
little hands do play.
My Christmas breakfast,
some Garibaldi biscuits,
and a black coffee.
24-12-22 Christmas Eve
It has been a day,
and I’ve been clearing away,
and getting ready.
I’m drinking coffee,
and reviewing some chapters,
seeing how they work.
It’s for a good time,
and not a long time, people;
enjoy your Christmas.
23-12-22 Star and Rain
A star wandering,
in the cold night sky last night,
caught me eye and winked.
The clouds formed up strong,
in the evening sky last night,
looking for a fight.
The rain tumbled down,
and falling hard on the ground,
was dancing around.
22-12-22 It won’t flush
I won’t imagine,
and refuse to describe it,
that stuff stuck in drains.
It is getting old,
or attitude that hinders,
a bit of either.
For I can do things,
those normal things that I could,
I don’t want to though.
21-12-22 Sunny days
Unexpected turns,
that revealed something special,
but brought you back home.
Have a happy day,
holidays are on their way,
enjoy Wednesday.
I have realised,
wisdom has been chasing me,
but I am faster.
