Tip toe, tip-a- toe,
Gently, gently, here we go,
Where we go, I know.
What a show, I know,
What I like and what is fun,
I know a good show.
The beetles are back,
Hug the walls and scurry back,
What they think they’re seen.
Month: July 2020
Sat 25th July 20 Tweets Bittersweet
The drip of the tap,
Tapping out each dripping drop,
The drip drops don’t stop.
In the Tweeter world,
I try to get followers,
With my Haiku tweets.
What flavour’s a Tweet,
Is it tasty, maybe sweet,
Maybe bitter sweet.
Friday 24th July 20 Fish Day
Yes I overslept,
Started work 10 minutes late,
Feeling better mate!
Someone’s special day,
But I forgot it was though,
Had to send a text.
The evening time,
Good fish and chips and a film,
And a can of coke.
Thurs 23rd July 20 Tired
Got it done and out,
I’m so please that I could shout,
Now back to real work.
The days are quite dull,
For the summer time I mean,
The sun’s hardly seen.
Tiredness consumes me,
Takes the essential essence,
And makes it heavy.
Weds 22nd July 20 Music’s groove
In double lock down,
Stuck at home with much to do,
No online meetings.
Line by line I move,
Music’s giving me my groove,
As I complete it.
Tues 21st July 20
The puzzle is good,
They say grey, but mean yellow,
I just keep it blue.
Meeting tedium,
Chatter matters it seems now,
But I crave it’s end.
Mon 20th July 20
The journey was hell,
No coffee could assage it,
The trip down the stairs.
The book is waiting,
It talks about it’s ending,
And it started bad.
It’s too critical,
It has a life of it’s own,
That I must rein in.
Sun 19th July 20
Work tensions raising,
A resistance building too,
To more work from home.
The rain was welcome,
And the cooling evening breeze,
That holds the sun’s rays.
Sat 18th July 20
The monster has gone,
And just the shadow remains,
Drinking lots of tea.
Coffee sometimes too,
Maybe three, who really knows,
How long they will last.
So impersonal,
They’re biscuits and deserve dips,
In my mug of tea.
Fri 17th July 20
It was a rest day,
Time to reflect and see me,
The monster I am.
A friendly one though,
With big teeth and gappy smile,
And dishevelled hair.
