My brothers birthday,
was yesterday, I forgot,
like I do each year.
A misty morning,
but the sun came shining through,
cool and fresh looking.
Month: February 2024
23rd Feb 2024 Doctor Doctor
I called the doctor,
that told me come straight away,
an excuse for work.
I breathed in and out,
and they found a little wease,
and gave pills for that.
22/02/24 Wet Tales Moving
There’s noises outside,
and voices telling tall tales,
and shortly move on.
It’s raining today,
the sound of tyres on wet roads,
and drips from the trees.
21/02/24 A Tissue oh Tishoo
Colds are spread around,
and I am caught in its grasp,
and left struggling.
Tissues, messy rags,
are disposed of, and quickly,
and keeping all clear.
20/02/24 Dippy Time
A cup of tea waits,
silent and steaming, angry?
I will cool it down.
Biscuits are ready,
and dippy time’s beginning,
and the tea’s happy.

19/02/24 A Day at Work
Here I am at work,
sitting in semi darkness,
and glow of the screen.
Many things to do,
and then many distractions,
are you one of them?
18/02/24 Wash Those Blues Away
The water ran down,
he let it wash over him,
and felt its soothing.
Washing away stress,
along with shampoo bubbles,
so satisfying.
17/02/24 Flat out Day
I woke up early,
and it was wet and raining,
but that soon cleared up.
Some places to be,
and they fit the one, two, three;
tennis, dance and shop.
16/02/24 Working Faster
The day was a blur,
I saw it for a moment,
but then it was gone.
Preparation’s key,
to finish those things when due,
with time to amend.
15/02/2024 Sunset on Donna’s Day
Could be Donna’s day,
though the thought of her is fun,
It was long ago.
The sun silent slide,
down between the orange clouds,
to light somewhere else.
