The day awoke bright,
Cheery in the clear blue sky,
Not a care in sight.
The burdens lifted,
Vanished in the bright blueness,
Of this new fresh day.
Month: May 2020
Sat 30/05/20 Dungeon Fever
Saturday was hard,
Unyielding, almost painful,
Then release did come.
T’was about midnight,
The music played in darkness,
Soothing the poor beast.
Friday 29/05/20 Burdens weight you down
The day started well,
Things got done, almost fun,
Then it just crashed down.
No flames just burdens,
Heavy and tiresome they are,
Right down to the ground.
Thurs 28/05/20 Dogs & Clouds
The dog on a chain,
Lay down knowing his limits,
And wanting to run.
The clouds in the sky,
Freely floating by above,
Wanted to stand still.
Weds 27/05/20 Cats & Birdies
The cat was purring,
Content it sat near the bush,
Where little bird sang.
He knew they came there,
So, now silent he waited.
But no birdie came.
Tuesday 26/05/20 Beetles day out
The frog thought and watched,
“What’s for tea?” He thought and snapped,
A tasty beetle.
It was beetles day,
Though young he hadn’t gone far,
Today he push out.
A moral maybe,
Don’t be too cocky, or fly,
Best stay on the ground.
Mon 25/05/20 A Sunny Day
It’s a sunny day,
And makes me want to lay back.
And snooze in its warmth.
It’s a shorter week,
That suits me no end, it does,
Four days stress and fuss.
The book is delayed,
It’s coming once the bill’s paid,
That’s time to finish.
We welcome you back,
There’s always something new here,
Just the same format.
Sun 24/05/20 Catching Up
Yes, I’m catching up,
Posting blogs that I prepared,
Throughout the last days.
Is that still daily,
It’s wrote on the day it was,
And posted later.
I think it does work,
It saves me a little time,
And captures them fine.
Sat 23/05/20 Up Late
I got up too late,
Around nine but that is fine,
For a Saturday.
Things to do for sure,
Shopping, gardening and more,
Most of it a bore.
Friday 22/05/20 Out for a run
I went for a run,
It is cloudy and windy,
And it felt so good.
I’m writing a book,
Or two, and maybe some more,
The ideas flow.
Well. I am happy,
Friday’s here and the weekend,
Now I can relax.
