My mug is silent,
and the surface of my tea,
is simply so still.
It is that first taste,
that decides if it is good;
a great mug of tea.
Under the word tree,
waiting for the fruit to drop,
but you should pick it.
The setting sun hung,
and hovered orange on clouds,
before sinking down.

30-08-22 Simple Peace
Two coffees, one tea,
gets me going each morning,
even if just to pee.
I enjoy simple,
sometimes that is just nature,
and to feel the breeze.
I have been busy,
with doing stuff in the house,
like chewing the doors.
Skeleton spiders,
and zombie snails, are the things,
that children find fun.
I watched the sun set,
and the breeze wrapped around me,
and I felt its peace,
29-08-22 The roads I take
There are things to stop,
so that I can move ahead;
is it that simple?
At the crossroads stood,
two similar roads ahead,
but which will I take.
The road less travelled,
is a road I’ve often walked,
and will do again.
I’ve made some wrong turns,
that have always helped me learn,
to get back on track.
I have been called smart,
at sometimes, and others not,
just a ‘fart smeller’.
28-08-22 Music Music
Music is playing,
and the drums and rhythms dance;
and songs lead them on.
Music floating out,
and drifting on the night air,
creating visions.
I watched the sun set,
and the breeze warp around me,
and I felt its peace,
27-08-22 Perfect Blend
The sunlight seems clean,
and casting deep dark shadows,
creating such depth.
Evening falls with grace,
a perfect blend of twilight,
with a special light.
I was half way through,
when I found it blocked by words,
so, I cut them free.
26-08-22 Discourse
F’s for finally,
R’s for real relaxation,
I’s ice cream Fridays
I did some study,
scanned the net and read some books,
and I burned a lunch.
What does Ofgem do,
roll over, pick up pieces;
how’s it regulate?
Let’s talk it over,
and discover, what it means,
for once and for all.
25-08-22 Poor ones
Eat with a teaspoon,
it’s smaller, but it still works,
and more considerate.
The rain came falling,
after the night of thunder,
hanging twigs with tears.
I enjoy simple,
simple things and pleasures,
like feeling the wind.
I want to explore,
down those darkened passageways,
to the light beyond.
24-08-22 The Simple
The day’s uncertain,
and it thinks it is summer,
but is overcast.
I enjoy simple,
simple things and pleasures,
like feeling the wind.
I want to explore,
down those darkened passageways,
to the light beyond.
Running out of space,
that’s when I come face to face,
with a lonely ace.
23-08-22 Summers nature
Time to forge ahead,
and gain some ground with writing,
now it’s back on track.
There’s nothing like it,
a smell intense and lovely;
fresh cut summer grass.
A summer evening
I catch the smell of roses
and hear the bees buzz.
The stream flows gently
beneath the branches of trees:
stay and watch it go.
22-08-22 Haiku Spoonerisms
Postman called today,
with a small fragile parcel,
marked, ‘candle with hair.’
It’s a little rude,
when told to ‘shake a tower’,
but some will do both.
Sun on the water,
dragonflies hover over;
the frog has his meal.
