29/04/21 Riddle me

I fall down and down,
and know I’m wasting my time,
with the weather news.

I am fall asleep,
into dreams like unreal work scenes,
that do not make sense.

The birds came today,
in a group they were starlings,
eating all my grass.

The light of the sun,
falls gentle like a feather,
on the spring blossoms.

The candle burns low,
the wick curled as in great pain,
keeping the flame lit.

The rain drops do fall,
heavy like great wet dough balls,
evading the clouds.

It is just nonsense,
words written like somehting else,
something with meaning.

I’m drawing the line,
blue like a thin, faint ribbon,
on the blank white page.

Riddle me a rhyme,
test the limits of the words,
next to each other.

28/04/21 London walking

When will we open,
and is that asking too much,
to get out again.

I used to travel.
here and there and everywhere,
just seeing places.

I’d walk Londons streets,
down back alleys and places,
that took my fancy.

Lots of photos too,
wet cobbled streets and streets lamps,
and black and white scenes.

I miss the walking,
to and from work and station,
and then back to home.

Well I now work here,
downstairs and in the office,
the smallest of rooms.

Guitars, cars and chalk,
model cars and one guitar,
two pack of mixed chalk.

25/04/21 Planning

This month’s going quick,
the days pass so silently,
like ships in the night.

The birds came today,
starlings in their their many,
eating from the lawn.

I got a day off,
to catch up and do some things,
but that is Friday.

It’s a long weekend,
so I will get Monday too.
and two shorter weeks.

The sun is out now,
it is lovely to see too,
for it is chilly.

Can I hear a cheer,
for the haiku poems here,
or maybe hello.
