History is fine,
but it will not make you shine,
In conversation.
Those rapid speakers,
tend to lose their listeners
and gender questions.
The time seems to fly,
and leaves us wondering why,
we don’t see it go.
Month: July 2023
11-06-23 thoughts on the weather
Thinking doesn’t help,
if trapped in vicious circles,
so focus on now.
How long will it last,
this summer and these hot days,
and still have water.
Thunder lingers near,
the air heavy, expectant,
soon to deliver.
10-06-23 Recovery time
In recovery,
for the painful aches and pains,
stretching and stretching.
What a difference,
a day makes, twenty four hours,
and time goes so fast.
Taking my liquids,
water and plenty of it,
and mugs of coffee.
09-06-23 Exercising
Working in the gym,
and having a short sit down,
that is working hard.
Pulling down the weights,
and they will pull me back up,
and over again.
I am now fitter,
I can feel it, yes, feel it,
and that is progress.
08-06-23 Could have beens
An empty bottle,
devoid of all its contents,
looking for reuse.
The water feels cold,
but the hot sun drives them in,
to its cool embrace.
Passing on the road,
their eyes connect, a moment,
lost in coursing crowds.
07-06-23 Time without reflection
Time’s eluding me,
and teasing me with moments,
so short and fleeting.
Is this the real life,
dull days of simple sameness,
no Bohemia.
Streams ever flowing,
its ripples, a sensation,
felt by those close by.
