Obedient dogs,
Multicoloured quadrupeds,
Waiting patiently.

Punctuation late,
The sentences just won’t wait.
Words cry,
“Let us speak!”

Each word reaching out,
Holding the reader captive,
The plot closing in.

Today is Friday,
And some say that’s Freyas day,
A main Norse goddess.

With golden apples,
All the gods ate to stay young,
Where can I get some?

If it was like that,
There’d orchards of these apples,
All over the place.

Train waiting to leave,
Must find my ticket and seat,
And Coffee will help.

Today (‘s/is) Wednesday (Wensday)
Some say it is Wodens’ day,
Touch wood it isn’t.

The morning sky red,
The clouds show the rising sun,
Clothed in scarlet robes.

December is here,
It’s here, that wind up, wind down,
These few days before.

I hope you do care,
For all these Haiku I share,
One speaks out to you.

The shorter evenings,
Don’t wait on the setting sun,
It’s dark and that’s it.

I’m bored with TV,
Maybe I watch it too much,
Or not enough now.

The time spent working,
Is worth so much,
I should work,
Harder than I do.

Is it very good,
The this and that,
The end scene,
That we should all watch.

Yes, it’s three today,
Read one and get one-two free,
Maybe more for sure.

The puddle grew out,
It filled the road, then the town,
It sank a few bins.

Here’s ‘word’ expanded,
When orange rind dried,
I say,
Worked out real dandy!

Sitting on a train,
Rocking and rolling along,
And soon it will stop.

I look at blue skies,
The sun yellow in the east,
Not a cloud in sight.

What comes of this day,
Success I hope,
In all ways,
Double, don’t delay.

Mine’s a grey Friday,
No money for the discounts,
Just window shopping.

Friday is relaxed,
Less people and less hassle,
I wander to work.

The stepping stones stop,
The river waits for your move,
It’s always deeper.

It is more Thursday,
Maybe more Friday, we’ll see,
Time will wait for it.
