The tapping taps on,
A tired rhythm that annoys,
And then fades away.
The book lay open,
The top pages move slightly,
With the morning breeze.

The weekend is here,
That gives me a lot of cheer,
And time to myself.
Buy the book, buy it! It will help me to focus, and finish it soon.
Thinking of travel,
I want to take a long cruise,
And simply relax.
Thurs 23/04/20
Took an evening stroll,
Down the path to the bluebells,
And the long way home.
Such a lovely day,
The sun teased through the window,
Asking me, ‘Come play!’
I couldn’t go out, The door was shut and locked fast, And tea was ready.

Mixing up my dates,
April is a funny month,
Not spring or summer.
May, may do better,
May day on Friday the 8th,
First for many years.
So, can it be fun, To write in a single line, My haiku poem.
Mon 20/04/20
The work place call by,
Several times it seemed to call,
Like heavy raindrops.
The raindrops falling,
Land with such explosive force,
They demand a view.
Cobblestone raindrops,
Litter the pathway back home,
And then disappear.
The setting sun sees,
The place where they hide away,
And lights their parting.
Sun 19/04/20
Sun stood warmly,
Smiling as it does for days,
Caught in the springtime.
The leaves green and fresh,
Rejoiced at the suns’ warmness,
And that cooling breeze.
The walk down the path,
Was interrupted often,
With its warm wonder.
And like all such tales,
It ends with a memory,
A special feeling.

So, my pen today,
Made a big mess on the page.
An inky poo poo!
I do like a pen,
Biro, or a fountain pen,
Whatever’s at hand.
I want to do art,
Draw cartoons and paint something,
If I had the time.
Sat 18/04/20
It’s a funny time,
It’s not ha, ha, more oh no!,
And there’s more humour.
Time slips down the clock,
Ticking as it slides away,
And then disappears.
Watch it slip away,
Sometimes, hours, day, month or years,
Gone, not forgotten.
