Work tensions raising,
A resistance building too,
To more work from home.
The rain was welcome,
And the cooling evening breeze,
That holds the sun’s rays.

Sat 18th July 20
The monster has gone,
And just the shadow remains,
Drinking lots of tea.
Coffee sometimes too,
Maybe three, who really knows,
How long they will last.
So impersonal,
They’re biscuits and deserve dips,
In my mug of tea.
Fri 17th July 20
It was a rest day,
Time to reflect and see me,
The monster I am.
A friendly one though,
With big teeth and gappy smile,
And dishevelled hair.
Thurs 16th July 20 Tiles
Banksy on the tube,
I really liked all those rats,
Not wearing their masks.
And the Toynbee tiles,
It’s rejuvenating stuff,
Have you found a tile?
Weds 15th July 20
Got a list to do,
It is long and tedious,
And takes me all day.
There’s better things though,
It is summer and raining,
What can be better.
Tues 14th July 20 Time
Here we are again,
Another day, has begun,
And time is ticking.
Possibly the worse,
Work day of my working life,
Attacks on each side.
I just felt battered,
Reeling for a while and then,
Finding solid ground.
It got me focused,
And my head down doing it.
And getting things done.
Mon 13th July 20
Well the day is gone,
And evening is settling in,
With night coming fast.
Time’s of the essence,
It’s legal but it is for me,
So, I will do more.
Sun 12th July 20
Dreading work again,
Knots my tummy terribly,
And it’s still Sunday.
Watching some old films,
One is black and white oldie,
But it was funny.
Sat 11th July 20 Counting
I checking the score,
Of the some games played today,
Good to see them back.
A relaxing day,
I’m trying to recover,
From a busy week.
I counting my change,
And I’m making some big plans,
For dinner tonight.
Sat 11th July 20 Guitar Playing Helps
The day’s starting well,
Relaxed and the sun shining,
In the cloudy sky.
I play my guitar,
Arpeggios run away,
And then come back up.
The cut away helps,
To make these runs longer,
And ping that high note.
