I found myself lost,
Trapped in a hollow shell,
Into which I fell.
I couldn’t see out,
And there was a loud echoe,
That was deafning me.
I banged on it walls,
With the echoes resounding,
Washing over me.
And hit it so hard,
A small crack started to run,
Breaking up this shell.
How did I fall in,
Some say it grows around you,
If you don’t watch out!

Thurs 22-10-20 Rivers
The river runs deep,
Rushing with a roar, so loud,
Through those ancient rocks.
I’ve seen great places,
Waikato is one of them,
Jordan another.
Rivers of the world,
La Seine, the Thames, and the Rheine,
I want to see more.
Weds 21-10-20
Big meeting today,
And I will sit and chair it,
And finish early.
There is a numbness,
Work has no feeling in it,
It’s just doing stuff.
I want to break free,
Spend time drawing, and painting,
Taking photographs.
Tues 20-10-20
Twenty ten twenty,
A nice day for some numbers,
That tells today’s date.
The weather was good,
Overcast but it felt good,
Sitting in my chair.
I’m learning to draw,
And also learning to paint,
When I want to start.
I’m buying a pen, something special to write with, but not expensive.
Mon 19-10-20
It seems I missed it, Monday was a ragged rush, and ended too fast.
The lesson is clear, take time to do what you want, and learn not to fear.
That day is now gone, a new Monday approaches, with it’s business.
Sun 18/10/20 Pasta Faces
Could you see the face,
A real terrible clown face,
All red and laughing.
This one’s a monster,
Above the white shell pasta,
Black eyes and red brows.
For me it’s scary,
Creepy faces in the mix,
With bolognese sauce.
Sun 18-10-20
No basta pasta,
There always something to eat,
With a pasta dish.
Pasta in red scenes,
It’s Jean Gris’s pasta project,
When out shopping.
I slept, was woken,
Couldn’t sleep, so I got up,
Slept and woke twice more.
Sat 17-10-20 Music
Friends etched in my mind,
Still there as they used to be,
So many years ago.
The shopping’s all done,
It’s wiped down and stored away,
Time to eat it now.
Down the tip today,
Clearly out loads of rubblish,
Stuff I do not need.
The sky looks okay,
In a cloudy happy way,
That says no rain now.
Friday 16-10-20 Music
In the dark – listen!
Hearing the music playing,
Old songs but so good.
I sit in my chair,
The music surrounding me,
With guitars and drums.
Won’t you come with me,
To the bright side of the road,
Time goes by so fast.
Come on, name that song,
The artist too, if you can,
Yes, Van Morrison.
Thurs 15/10/20 Mars
I’m falling a sleep,
The night is drawing closer,
Dragging in morning.
The time is now past,
Ten or quarter or half past,
The big hands don’t lie.
Mars high in the sky,
An orange glow can be seen,
But some call it red.
I like my tea hot,
No milk, a little sugar,
Always in a mug.
