Got it done and out,
I’m so please that I could shout,
Now back to real work.
The days are quite dull,
For the summer time I mean,
The sun’s hardly seen.
Tiredness consumes me,
Takes the essential essence,
And makes it heavy.

Weds 22nd July 20 Music’s groove
In double lock down,
Stuck at home with much to do,
No online meetings.
Line by line I move,
Music’s giving me my groove,
As I complete it.
Tues 21st July 20
The puzzle is good,
They say grey, but mean yellow,
I just keep it blue.
Meeting tedium,
Chatter matters it seems now,
But I crave it’s end.
Mon 20th July 20
The journey was hell,
No coffee could assage it,
The trip down the stairs.
The book is waiting,
It talks about it’s ending,
And it started bad.
It’s too critical,
It has a life of it’s own,
That I must rein in.
Sun 19th July 20
Work tensions raising,
A resistance building too,
To more work from home.
The rain was welcome,
And the cooling evening breeze,
That holds the sun’s rays.
Sat 18th July 20
The monster has gone,
And just the shadow remains,
Drinking lots of tea.
Coffee sometimes too,
Maybe three, who really knows,
How long they will last.
So impersonal,
They’re biscuits and deserve dips,
In my mug of tea.
Fri 17th July 20
It was a rest day,
Time to reflect and see me,
The monster I am.
A friendly one though,
With big teeth and gappy smile,
And dishevelled hair.
Thurs 16th July 20 Tiles
Banksy on the tube,
I really liked all those rats,
Not wearing their masks.
And the Toynbee tiles,
It’s rejuvenating stuff,
Have you found a tile?
Weds 15th July 20
Got a list to do,
It is long and tedious,
And takes me all day.
There’s better things though,
It is summer and raining,
What can be better.
Tues 14th July 20 Time
Here we are again,
Another day, has begun,
And time is ticking.
Possibly the worse,
Work day of my working life,
Attacks on each side.
I just felt battered,
Reeling for a while and then,
Finding solid ground.
It got me focused,
And my head down doing it.
And getting things done.
