The clocks just tick tock,
And that is how I like them,
What if they all stopped?
I’m climbing up hills,
And take the tumbles and spills,
When I’m running down.
Secret sensations,
Are the feelings to explore,
To love not deplore.
Month: October 2020
Monday 12/10/20
I think I’ve lost it,
Both the will and the desire,
To do very much.
U.S Elections,
What a shambles, what a mess,
Donald makes of it.
Music really helps,
Clears the mind and can inspire,
Always there to play.
Sun 11/10/20
The weather was nice,
And I went for a long walk,
Until the sun set.
The ground disappeared,
As I lifted high up there,
And just clouds below.
The photographs fade,
Like a photo on the sill,
Why does that happen.
Here’s a little thing, something special so they say, I want to thank you.
Going into town, got me thinking and shopping, about more travel.
Sssh 10/10/20 Stay sane
The date is funny,
Ten plus ten equals twenty,
That’s the sum of it.
Out early today,
Getting somethings sorted out,
And others no so.
The morning sun shone,
Bright on the trees of colour,
Causing me to pause.
It is feeling cold,
And the cold’s starting to bite,
Just a little mind.
Stay safe and stay sane, take a breathe and breathe it in. and then release it.
The day starting now, people are moving about, soon I’ll be busy.
Friday 09/10/20
The day was so long,
It dragged, faltered then fell down,
Taking me with it.
People can be strange,
They can show compassion too,
That can surprise you.
Some things are too great,
To trivialise , so let’s not,
And let them just be.
I am wondering, what it is that I can do, to make a real change.
I cannot escape, the workday endless nonsense, so I tuning out.
Thurs 08/10/20 Second Time
It’s the day after,
The dust has settled again,
I wait in the bar.
The hurricane came,
Full on force and violent,
Ripped the roof right off.
I’m taking my time,
Just a second at a time,
Count one and loose ten.
Weds 07/10/20 Nusery Rhymes not
Hey diddle diddle,
Well the cat’s on the fiddle,
And the dog just laughed.
Twinkle and twinkle,
Little star, high in the sky,
Yes, you twinkle on.
The wheels on the bus,
Going round and round and round,
All day long around.
Tues 06/10/20 Rain & Sunshine
Yes, chicken dinner,
Tasty with salad and chips,
And a can of coke.
I could not say no,
But I did try a maybe,
Then I got trouble.
The sun through the rain,
Was spectacular today,
An amazing sight.
Here is the tag line, an after thought, maybe worse, the real intention.
I got a new car, shiney, bright and coloured red, a brand new toy car.
Monday 05/10/20 Working out
I can’t believe it,
Just one day back at my job.
And I’m exhausted.
Don’t over promise,
And don’t under deliver,
Do the best you can.
Chasing the blue lines,
Of the ruled notebook I use,
Words filling those lines.
Funny how it falls, the old mug as hits the ground, twists strangly then breaks.
Music does help me, relaxes me and cools me off, lost in random songs.
Sun 04/10/20 Hot Pains
The house is so hot,
The heating wants to kill me,
Drowned in my own sweat.
My head is bursting,
An headachce from down under,
From the depths of hell.
Sunday slowy goes, into Sunday evening now, then night to morning.
Monday will come quick, it always does the little prick, it likes to tease me.
Lotto failed to come, a lucky-dip the email said, maybe Wednesday now.
