The day starts brightly,
The sun shining in a blue sky,
And just like it should.
So, who reads this blog,
This Haiku book of poems,
And my random thoughts?
Month: August 2020
Sat 29/08/20
The clouds were all grey,
Like that all day, with some rain,
That I really like.
Saw the shocking news,
That Chadwick Boseman had died,
A real talent lost.
He’s an example,
Of great, brave, overcoming,
We should remember.
Friday 28/08/20
My eyes crave their sleep,
Closing to the midnight hour,
And hurt to open.
The day is now done,
It was work and wasn’t fun,
And now sleep’s calling.
Thurs 27/08/20
The walls draw closer,
Entrapping the free thinking,
Until it’s echoes.
The walls are shaking,
And cracking with the power,
Of fresh free thinking.
Weds 26/08/20
I feel the cool wind,
That’s blowing from east to west,
Getting colder now.
The fire is warmer,
The closer you are sitting,
Until it burns you.
Random running thoughts,
Spill and scatter, all around,
The page before me.
Tues 25/08/20 Surfin’
My mobile has died,
The battery has killed it,
It just got too low.
It has started now,
With 37 percent stored,
Enough to surf on.
I like to write stuff,
This and that and maybe more,
The who that’s done what.
Mon 24/08/20 Short Haiku
What, what, what, I say?
What is that you are saying?
Tell me it’s not true!
You don’t like Haiku,
They’re short and short’s evil,
But how can that be?
I know short people,
Some are good and some are not,
Most are short with me.
Sun 23/08/20 Clouds
I do like the clouds,
I watch out for them each day,
For that perfect one.
The sun lights them up,
And the wind swirls them around,
Creating effects.
I cloud watch always,
Morning, noon and evening,
And their changing shapes.
Sat 22/08/20 The Weekend
The wind is still here,
Blowing around all the place,
Moving things it likes.
I took a short walk,
Along a country pathway,
And felt the warm sun.
The weekend is good,
With writing, and some music,
And of course, shopping.
Friday 21/08/20 Idiots
Ridiculous times,
People can be so stupid,
Including myself.
Ticking actions off,
Doing this and other stuff,
Now I had enough.
And it felt so good,
To switch it off and finish,
And restart my life.
