As complex as simple is.
“Well?” Said the doctor,
“What is the matter with you?”
I took a wrong turn!
Where is the toilet?
They said, “Turn left, to the end,
And there, just turn right”.
I passed the cafe,
And again then stopped for tea,
Then I had to pee.
That’s how it started,
I got out whilst I could though,
Back to normal strife.
Crumbs on the table,
Where biscuits once were waiting,
To be dipped in tea.
The tea’s sweet and black,
And its warmth flows like comfort,
On a winters day.
Sunny Sunday morn,
A cup of tea and me time.
Things stirring upstars.
Sunday’s almost done,
Will this week be good,
Or fun?
I really hope so.
I enjoy cafes,
Tea or coffee with some cake,
And watch people pass.
In a corner seat,
A menu tells a story,
Of places I’ve been.
Yummy Scrummy love,
Is sweet – so tasty, so sweet!
Indulge it! Enjoy!
Sparrows are seen less,
Here is a sparrow I saw,
Clinging to the wall.
I am having fun,
With the google tech support
Could do with a rest.
“Wade in the water”,
Eva Cassidy sang it,
Such a good version.
Lost my phone charger,
On laptop now, so clunky,
But it does the job!
My tea’s always black,
A little sugar maybe,
Taste those great flavours.
Neat Haiku patterns,
These need to be messed up more,
Some long and short lines.
It’s for the challenge,
To be doing it daily,
The pages pile up.
Choc’late digestives,
So lovely dipped in my tea.
Can’t stop eating them.
Don’t drop them in now,
It will sink to the bottom,
And ruin the fun.
So break them in half,
And dunk them into hot tea,
They taste very good.
It’s evening time,
On the train now speeding home,
Work finished for now.
I will soon be home,
Tea and biscuits and relax,
Things to do for sure.
A wet rainy day,
The kettle has boiled for tea,
Time to enjoy it.
The CIA came,
Took more boxes and swept up,
Not sure what they want.
Got back to my book,
I’m Working through the sections,
Checking every line.
Old songs lay scattered,
Waiting to be played and sung,
They need a purpose.
It’s great to relax,
have time to do things you love.
Have a cup of tea.
