This rain was falling,
The sound of it hitting the roof,
Woke me up from sleep.
In the darkness though,
The falling rain seemed to glow,
Capturing each drop.
It held my gaze there,
For a while, I couldn’t leave,
Or, go back to bed.
To sleep I did though,
Mesmerised by the rhythms,
And the rains’ patterns.

So, how’s it going?
Are New Year blessings flowing?
The days are changing.
What does it look like?
So, what is success to you?
Mine is on paper.
Turn up the volume,
Focus on rhythms and pace,
Tick those key things off.
Saturday 19/01/19 Tired Illusions
I’m feeling so tired,
The moments napping away,
I wake somewhere new.
Music is playing,
Distant sounds not far away,
Echo round my head.
Time sliding away,
Whispers that is will not stay
Seeks another place.
Music doesn’t stop.
Songs and rhythms change places,
Seeking perfect sound.
The tea getting cold,
Waits by the side of the chair,
Indifferent to time.
