I am enjoying the challenge of my Haiku poems, my silly ‘sound like’ names for persons in the news and, of course, my pen art taken from my A6 notebook.

Boxing Day

The day starts quiet,
Cup of tea and newspapers,
They begin to wake.

Put the world on pause,
We do like to kid ourselves,
Safely far away.

What will change for good,
In the year to come, I ask.
I focus on myself.

We can’t change others,
But we can sure change ourselves,
Make a difference.

There is much I want do, positive things in 2019

It is good to think,
And wonder what you’d do then,
If you had a chance.

Time now races on,
Challenging all to catch up,
Use well don’t waste it.

Finally, I rest,
A while to collect my thoughts,
Write them in my book.
