Haiku Book

Monday morning blues,

I need to polish my shoes,

And make something shine.

Up and out today,

Things to do and folks to meet,

Time to have some tea.

And another thing,

The tea machine’s not working,

Guess I go without.

 

Strange hats on people

Makes them appear different

Will I wear a hat?

It is good to see the interest thank you. Here is another one.

I’ve walked many miles,

I’ve lived my life on the fringe,

Time now, to excel.

What is it you say

The place is better out here

In the cool night air

It’s Brexit nonsense

The deal’s not good for Britain

The worst of both worlds

 

Had a busy day,

So what can I really say,

It’s great to get home.

I wonder how good,

These few lines of poem sound,

I’ll get it right soon.

Well I am catching up so this is it. One a day. Listening to David Bowie and the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust.

On the train home now the previous train was cancelled.

Mug of black coffee

Still on my desk getting cold

I drink its last warmth.

Coffee is one of my favourite Haiku themes. Haiku writing and coffee go well together.

Another day and a good nights sleep later.

The week begins well

Feeling good and the air’s clear

I use Haiku to relax but it can be hard when you are very tired. Sometimes yiu just need to start. I did here and it began to flow more.
