Cats adorn her ears,
tattoos adorn her body:
purpose adorns her.

She’s knitting some socks
and it’s such an artful skill:
crazy cat lady..

A casual glance,
their eyes meet for a moment,
then both look away.

Shostakovich plays,
suite number 2 by quintet,
Philharmonic Five.

Ella Fitzgerald,
and the London Orchestra,
what an awesome voice.

Crazy Cat Lady,
was knitting socks on the tube,
we need more of this.

Autumn has a feel,
with wet leaves and open fires,
and the shorter days.

Tuesday can be fine,
if you land on both your feet,
and then keep smiling.

A ten percent rule,
get rid of it, the old clothes,
your draft book and stuff.

It felt so heavy,
last evening it just was,
very desperate.

The rain now has ceased,
and happier clouds drift by,
and offer more rain.

A scene from a train,
as it sped over this bridge,
over the canal.

Well I couldn’t sleep,
too quick it all felt so cold,
until it warmed up.

Coffee doesn’t help,
but at least it can warm me,
and help me to sleep.

Sunny Sunday morn,
and time to take my time now,
for a little while.

The guitar plays on,
and carries me to places,
I want to go to.

On the road again,
this time with my camera,
and my black notebook.

What’s the sky doing,
hanging low and very grey,
but the birds like it.

A storm name for me,
and missing the Bahamas,
I hope, as I am.

I walked seven miles,
or so it seems, in one place,
back and forth it seems.

I am struggling now,
the loads at times are heavy,
but not an anvil.

And that does help me,
the thought of a brave person,
that did carry more.

The guitar plays on,
and carries me to places,
I want to go to.

I have seen the light,
on the landing lighting it,
a revelation.

But I stumbled on,
ignoring the light that’s there,
and don’t understand.

I’m seeking a change,
a change of heart and of mind,
a real refocus.

Well i caught myself,
being taken by daydreams,
and let myself go.

A change gonna come,
we all need something to change,
even something small.

I grounded myself,
it was a clumsy landing;
I felt all the bumps.

I am going there,
and i really do not care,
or if it is fair.

I found myself there,
staring out across the sea,
a breeze in my face.

I threw stones at it,
and they sank into its waves,
just like my old dreams

I’ve hit a milestone,
but there is a way to go,
that isn’t downhill.

Evening falls quicker,
bringing a change on the land,
beckoning more lights.

The one folded page,
holds a secrete long suppressed;
where did I read to?

Mugs of black coffee,
marked the time she spent working,
at the typewriter.

The guitar played out,
into the night and settled,
into the long grass.

Well thank you Ma’am,
you served well and with respect,
you have made us proud.

What a sleepy word,
‘sonorous’ meaning deep sound,
more like a deep sleep.

I have reached my goals,
for today, and I’m amazed,
and it’s feeling good.

If I could just write,
on an island far away,
I don’t think I would.
