Man U and Wolves game,
And I think it was a goal,
But it’s still nil all.
Just had my dinner,
Roast chicken, rice and salad,
Very tasty too.
Will it snow tonight?
The moon is full this evening,
But it’s cloudy too.
Category: Just for the moment
29/12/20 Just dreaming
The days draw closer,
To another day at work,
And earning money.
If only I could,
I would, without any doubt,
Do something I love.
Travel the world round,
Twice or more, stopping to look,
And see those places.
But I find myself
Chained to an old office chair,
And going nowhere.
“Just pipe dreams“, you say,
“You’re up in cloud cookoo land,
With a few blue birds“.
28/12/20 Strange holiday
It is a Monday,
Boxing day carried over,
And it feels so strange.
Families walk by,
Taking their family walks,
Out in the cold air.
I am at a loss,
Motivation is on leave,
What can I do now?
Intermitant fasts,
Really, I think? But it’s here,
With not all my meals!
Must I loose some weight,
Mine is just displaced, not fat,
And in the wrong place.
27/12/20 New resolves
Well the guests have left,
Just after it had got dark,
And street ligths were on.
A joyful small tree,
The toddler loved all its lights,
And that was enough.
The new year plans start,
The things put on hold last year,
Must start now afresh.
My plans are refreshed,
And so’s my waning resolve,
To get something done.
26/12/20 Boxing day
I am now behind,
From writing this Haiku blog,
And catching up now.
It takes some effort,
To think of something to say,
Through my blurry eyes.
I wore a disguise,
Nothing fancy a moustache,
One from the cracker.
25/12/20 Christmas Day Hooray!
I am up early,
Doing my stuff with breakfast,
Looking for my pen.
My fountain pen’s gone,
Dissappeared it just vanished.
I’m lost without it.
So much for some gifts,
I took them on a promise,
Maybe in the sales.
English brekfast lunch,
It was a massive fry up,
With all the add ons.
24/12/20 Christmas Eve
Well the ligths are lit,
On the tree and the bushes,
With light up reindeer.
It fascinates her,
To this toddler it is fun,
Just seeing the lights.
The guests have arrived,
Two to add to our number,
And it’s good they’re here.
Loats of food to eat,
And they have brought alot more,
Midnight finger food!
Weds 23/12/20 Heading Home
I went out walking,
But the rain began to fall,
Until I was home.
It feels like winter,
Overcast skies and icy winds.
I watch from inside.
I miss travelling,
The bus, the trains and walking,
Through the London streets.
Do Haiku’s make sense?
For me, it is stress relief,
Sometimes can be fun.
I’m falling asleep,
The comfy chair and heater,
Make that so easy.
Tues 22/12/20 The edge
It’s edging closer,
Christmas day and all it’s pomp,
And dishes to wash.
I went for a walk,
Early morning through the woods,
And saw a robin.
I’ve written some songs,
And have been arranging them,
Ready to record.
My new fountain pen,
Really helps me to write more,
So smooth and graceful.
Monday 21/12/20 Wet Work
The tide pulls me down,
The ebb tides strong under tow,
Drowning as I go.
The sand feels so hot,
Burning the soles of my feet,
So I look for shade.
Remembering things,
Good times when young in the sun,
Swimming and surfing.
Now it’s computers,
With on line shopping and work,
Not too hot or wet.
My mind’s on furlow,
I am still paying for it,
But it does no work.
