I learnt guitar young,
With the bluesmen by my side,
Through books and records.

Went on to Ragtime,
Jelly Roll Morton and more,
Of course, Scott Joplin!

I’m here on the train,
The start of the week now starts,
Maybe coffee helps?

Just one more stop now,
Then a walk across London
The work day begins.

In case you wonder,
The ad music “Sing, Sing, Sing’
By Benny Goodman.

It is sounding good,
On this Toyota advert.
Enjoy these classics!

Something that’s troubling,
I don’t understand why though!
Why social divide?

I’m lucky, I know!
Got home, job and family.
I work to keep it.

Bum Hole Bump’s great wall,
The 2 Billion reasons.
Just to question why!

I’m not thinking much,
Reacting more, such a bore.
Time to find the fun!

So glad for today,
To relax and just enjoy.
‘Ave a nice cuppa!

The futures today,
Not tomorrow, but here now!
What is your future?

There’re things to get done,
Wash clothes and tidy, not fun.
And checking my phone.

Is anyone out there,
That like Haiku or don’t care.
I am addicted.

Haiku poems flow,
In any way, they find to go,
I follow on slow.

Good morning Britain,
Yes it is Friday at last
Just another day.

The grey clouds hover,
Wind blown and threatening rain.
Where’s my umbrella?

My mind feels empty,
Numbed with tiredness and more work.
When will it finish?

I dream of a rest,
A time far away, okay!
With nothing to do.

There’s so much to do,
Reports to write and meetings,
New contracts to start.

Never write us off,
For we will come back stronger
Than we were before.

No time to think now,
Just meetings after meetings,
Notes to write up too.

Can I get away,
Somewhere that’s good so I stay.
I like adventure!
