I’ve found some old stuff,
A verse or two I’ve written,
And not yet published.
Nothing to say now,
My mind’s refusing to work,
Sleep is sneaking up.
As complex as simple is.
I like to go out walking, especially at the weekends, but also during the week
I’ve found some old stuff,
A verse or two I’ve written,
And not yet published.
Nothing to say now,
My mind’s refusing to work,
Sleep is sneaking up.
The sky has great clouds,
Some large and like mountains high,
Some small and many.

There are some that stretch,
Across the sky in layers,
Drifting ever on.
Blossom on the trees,
That calls the springtime forth,
In eye catching style.

Soon, summer will come.
Here too soon and then it’s gone.
I’ll feel I’ve missed it.
There is a new start,
Definite or uncertain,
Begin it today.
The sun in its sky,
Sitting bright in its blueness,
Promising so much.
The wind blows outside,
But the sun is still shining,
Lighting the swaying grass.
To publish is much,
I’ll need to think about this,
It is worth doing?
Can Haikus be fun?
Can they be used in much stuff?
Maybe just a fad.
The day chose the rain,
Grey clouds, puddles and wet streets.
The black bird still sings!
Cancelled trains, what’s new!
It was the same thing last night,
The pigeons don’t mind.
The weekend ahead,
It feels good, TGIF!
‘Now’ time’s important!
Grey clouds fill the skies,
Wind charged and heavy with rain,
Each drop picks its spot.
Greasy Grey’s delay,
Brexit madness lingers on,
Now spin again Ma’am!
The kettle’s boiling,
The tea bag fears the scolding,
Blackness fills the space.
Just before seven,
This is what the sky looked like,
A golden sunrise.

Painting such colours
The sky filled with golden rays
Caught my eye, it did!
Eva Cassidy,
I forgot she sings so good,
Beautiful vocals.
Such a tragic loss,
I’m stuck ‘Over the Rainbow’,
I see birds flying.
It tried to escape,
Ran around the tree and up,
But sun caught its fur.

A secret squirrel,
Asks,”What are you looking at?”
And then dissappears.
