I’m sitting outside,
and the breeze feels different,
so fresh and cooling.
My notebook to hand,
I scribble notes like secrets,
and they try to see.
It is lunchtime now,
and i get a bowl of soup,
and a little bread.

26-04-23 An island in the sea
Day two of away,
and it’s feeling good today,
now i want to stay.
The scene i can see,
is the land of hills far off,
and one snow covered.
Across the water,
maybe a mile, it’s not more,
from this small island.
25-04-23 Home truth and dark skies
Time and time again,
I tell myself I’m lucky,
and i guess I am.
The midnight hour comes,
and darkness invades the sky,
and the moon’s lonely.
The trouble with truth,
is that few want to hear it,
nor can they speak it.
24-04-23 Naughty Ryan
Early morning start,
all our bags are package and locked;
the taxi’s waiting.
Frustrations abound,
and silly delays are found,
so, dissapointing.
Finding ways around,
RyanAir’s unfair treatment,
and took EasyJet.
23-04-23 somewhere good is found
Car race past outside,
this way and the other way,
all going somewhere.
Those little blessings,
that come unexpectantly,
and bring a good change.
Time and time again,
to tell myself, “Be happy”,
And be grateful too.
22-04-24 Stress and Strain
Tennis and shopping,
double journeys this morning,
and done before lunch.
I have a desire,
to play music really well,
and just let it flow.
There’s an heavy weight,
on my head and my shoulders,
that needs to be gone.
21-04-23 Closing Down for the Weekend
Now it is Friday,
and Monday holds time away;
somewhere nice to stay.
Work is finished now,
and the laptop closes down,
like some useless thing.
Music’s cascading,
through my mind like falling rain,
soaking me in peace.
20-04-23 Homeward thirst
It is a thirst day,
I missed my morning coffee,
and some after that.
The train came homeward,
as close as it would this time,
so I took a bus.
I know I far off,
far from a daily haiku,
and this is catch up.
19-04-23 Notes of music now
I keep a notebook,
and scribble bits and bobs there,
of which I do care.
There’s notes on music,
artwork and photography,
and haiku poems.
It’s midway through now,
and all downhill from the top,
and a lot quicker.
18-04-23 Mooning songs
The evening draws in,
lighter longer that before,
and birds sing longer.
I do watch the moon,
and feel an affinity,
here with mother earth.
The prices in shops,
that appear to rise each week,
and the shop’s longer.
