As complex as simple is.
It is Christmas Eve,
It has come so soon, I think,
Feels like the year’s gone.
The sun is shining,
It’s a bright sunny morning,
A good way to start.
I got a surprise,
As Bum Hole Bump texted me,
He just said, “Fake News”
That’s what he calls me,
“What’s that about then?” I ask.
It is just some fun.
“Can I design it?”
He likes the sketch in my blog.

I think I need more,
More ummph, more fit, more alive,
Most of all more time.
Updates to WordPress,
Mean change of tools hard to use,
But the draft tab works.
I feel underwhelmed
At the thought of this Christmas,
Am I the green Grinch?
Time off is so hard,
It’s better to get away,
I’m struggling here now.
A wet rainy day,
The kettle has boiled for tea,
Time to enjoy it.
The CIA came,
Took more boxes and swept up,
Not sure what they want.
Got back to my book,
I’m Working through the sections,
Checking every line.
Old songs lay scattered,
Waiting to be played and sung,
They need a purpose.
Went to Monkey House,
Nice chicken, later, sorbet,
Then the bill! Oh no.
Yes, Crystal Palace,
Won today to beat City,
That was good to see.
Out with my children for a meal in London that is always good. Nice to see the lights in the streets, and a real buzz of people enjoying themselves.

Note: You will see some amendments to my last Haiku blog yesterday. I can’t believe that one of the three people that look at my site, was Mr President.
CIA raided my garage last night and removed some empty boxes. That was helpful. They left a note saying, “…the blog is highly inappropriate and offensive. This must be removed with all reference to the US President removed….” it goes on, “…the relationship with our allies is not the best and this does not assist that.” I note allies was spelt without a capital.
I have had to take this warning very seriously and have considered my actions. Yes, they were rude and offensive and I have amended them now to clarify my intentions.
It seems I’ve a fan.

The afternoon sun,
Hangs low, piercings through the clouds.

Christmas break’s begun,
Hanging the last of the lights,
I want a cuppa.
