Crumbs on the table,
Where biscuits once were waiting,
To be dipped in tea.
The tea’s sweet and black,
And its warmth flows like comfort,
On a winters day.
As complex as simple is.
Crumbs on the table,
Where biscuits once were waiting,
To be dipped in tea.
The tea’s sweet and black,
And its warmth flows like comfort,
On a winters day.
The cold wraps around,
Chilling bones and make them groan,
Just a few more steps.
The babies first steps,
Take time, precious time, so joyful,
Each one’s a moment.
Again the day starts,
Same again or will you change,
What you do or think.
You can’t change others,
But you can sure change yourself,
Do things differently.
Mobile lay lonely,
Forgotten and left behind,
Remembered all day.
The coughing caught me,
In many random fits and starts,
I must out run this.
A really tough week,
I’m feeling this,
It is hard,
Blue Monday is gone.
Maintain the routine,
Finish things,
Make plans,
Agree,
Be the best you can.
Have a black coffee,
Eating well and not too much,
Get some exercise.
Time just slips away,
I live the moment, in the now,
But they never stay.
A frosty morning,
I wrapped up warm,
Days dawning,
I am still yawning.
It a little fun,
It makes me think for a while,
Outside my old box.
A long day I think,
It hasn’t really started,
But that’s how it feels.
The morning’s still dark,
And my thoughts rumble onwards,
Light in the darkness.
There are challenges,
More obstacles than problems,
That need working through.
Uber this and that,
Under these and those again,
What a day it’s been.
The evening was clear,
Not a single cloud in sight,
The sun set calmly.
Will it go on now,
The challenge that started it,
And grow something great.
The weekend’s busy,
With fifteen of this and that,
And must wipe my feet.
That Friday feeling,
Not so busy,
Weekend soon,
And time to relax.
The book needs more work,
Updates and rearranging,
But I’m getting there.
The rain is falling,
Grabbing leaves and falling off,
In big wet droplets.
