I took a week off,
to work through my to do list,
that’s getting longer.
Late sunlight lightens,
the forest floor where deer feed,
and I stand and watch.
My new shark capo,
now I’m singing Mack the knife,
eating up those chords.
Month: March 2023
13-02-23 Duck is back
The sun’s transporting,
this duck in its solar rays,
but it got away.
I took a short walk,
a long the path to the woods,
it’s good to get out.
Take time off my work,
just for a week to catch up,
and that di go well.
11-02-23 Fair fares
Replying to a tweet,
about coming to London,
and how it’s better.
You’re welcome to come,
to London and pay the fares,
of buses and tube.
The taxis are dear,
not to our hearts but wallets,
so is it all fare?
12-02-23 Digging for Britain.
It’s Sunday lunchtime,
with chicken soup, olive rolls,
and good company.
The map is now lost,
and the last survivor is gone,
who can recall where.
I dig the garden,
hoping to discover it,
but just dig up dirt.
10-02-23 The one that got away
I’ve been stocking up,
on those weekend essentials,
so, have a good one.
Coffee mug’s empty,
and I’m sat here wondering,
what I will do next.
There’s no catching up,
I am behind, I’m not blind,
it’s got away now.
09-02-22 Drifting Away
A sky of orange,
and a view from my window,
and cold but so warm.
The song of a bird,
from just outside my window,
made me stop working.
I laid back to hear,
the sound of its evening song,
and drifted away.
08-02-23 Morning Sunshine
The morning sunshine,
lights the tree tops and the moon,
and a bird flies by.
Some comments received,
thanks for the interaction,
I am liking that.
In the photo see,
a black bird is flying by,
and maybe a plane.
07-02-23 Cobwebs
Dew beaded cobweb,
hangs in the cold moring air,
its resident hid.
How long is some string,
as long as it needs to be,
for tieing some things.
What a night it is,
and it follows what a day;
we love it really.
06-02-23 Trains
The train’s filling up,
so many characters here,
so many stories.
Its another night,
that’s slowly comes creeping in,
as the moon peeps out.
The train’s emptying,
one by one they each got off,
and made they way home.
05-02-23 Misty Moon
My writing falters,
and then splutters to a stop,
and what a great view.
App log in details,
just morph and change by themselves,
different each time.
Misty moon tonight,
and a near full micro moon,
and seemed so distant.
