Hey diddle diddle,
the pussy cat and fiddle,
the cow takes a pee.
They called it a moon,
’cause she showed her bare bottom,
and dish lost its spoon.
The cat sat watching,
its eyes quickly see it move,
and then moves to pounce.
Little Jack Horner,
sat in the corner eating pies,
not one with a plum.
The plum tree was bare,
and it was deepest winter,
so no plums in pies,
It is a plum role,
something good and excellent,
and very tasty.
Month: January 2022
10/01/22 Naked Gun 3/4
A small parcel came,
vacuum packed and coloured brown,
and not what I need.
No point to regret,
but to learn the lessons well,
is beneficial.
The naked light shines,
not afraid to show itself,
and light up the room.
the tea has grown cold,
just waiting here beside me,
in a small red cup.
My family tree,
is growing fast, unruly,
with those I don’t know.
Peppa pig is real,
she chases me everyday,
around the kitchen.
I am playing tag,
and hiding seek, so I’m told,
by a two year old.
09/01/22 Ambitious
The day over slept,
and it was nine or something,
and the sun was bright.
I want to change things
make then better, improve them,
so, it must be done.
I made some payments,
and securing this and that,
and picking things up.
Now I’m writing on,
each word a change from before,
and written in ink.
The work week comes soon,
and Monday planning meetings,
will set the week out
08/01/22 A New Start
Ice cream and you scream,
yes, and we all scream ice scream,
now I want a cone.
But mother says no,
do this and that and maybe,
but it never comes.
It’s a year of change,
it may be small but its change,
in the right places.
I’m getting ahead,
and doing what I need to do,
to make differences.
07/01/22 Lost at Sea
A lot of chatter,
but it did paid dividends,
in like like actions,
Getting things started,
that gives me such a great buzz,
and sense of doing.
I should do it more,
it would be easier sure,
if I could I would.
The sleep washes in,
like waves washing over me,
until I’m no more.
I’m found on the shore,
and I struggle to come to,
thinking where am I?
06/01/22 A sad end
I’m asking too much,
for this or that and also it,
and I will not budge.
It’s what it is mate,
I told him to his dark face,
and gave him a slap.
The sleep it did come,
and we slept soundly til eight,
then we all went home.
Now I sit and dose,
watching TV off and on,
and drinking coffee.
05/01/22 Face Off
I was awaiting,
in the dim local saloon,
and sipping a coke.
That’s when they rode in,
and took their places about,
the corners of town.
But I was sleeping,
propped up by the bar and air,
ready for most things.
The west’s not my thing,
so I rewound it to now,
and an empty field.
we played some football,
I mean a kick about though,
before we went home.
04/01/22 Ghost Town
Starting back at work,
and what a huge bore that was,
and time dragged so slow.
The no show meetings,
the one or two chats on line,
and falling asleep.
The heaviness came,
like a great overbearing,
that’s unstoppable.
The dust has settle,
no stampedes through here no more,
just the odd person.
02/01/22 Oh Well
They’re hanging on,
it looks like it wants to stay,
and won’t go away.
It was after five,
in the afternoon they left,
and I could then rest.
I now realise,
it feels like I’ve lost a day,
and work tomorrow.
It’s a crushing blow,
I thought I had one more day,
but it’s Monday night.
So another year,
has gone and one more has come,
and time took my rest.
03/01/22 Recovery
The quests are leaving,
it is good to see them go,
and good to see them.
Now to tidy up
then to put the rubbish out,
and do washing up.
I went for a walk,
before they awoke I went,
and then crept back in.
It’s good to get out,
and feel the air in your lungs,
and cold on your face.
