Been down to Folkstone,
to see the sea and sunshine,
and that was so good.
I met this lady,
sitting by the sea and wet,
but she didn’t speak.
She only looked out,
waiting for something maybe,
or someone could be.
I watched for awhile ,
looking out where she was looking,
but saw just the sea.
I don’t know her name,
and I walked on and left her,
sitting by the sea.
