The stairs leading up,
To an attic space I’d say,
Is good for boxes.
The troubled rains came,
In great bursts of driving rain,
In wet gangs they were.
The large face clock ticked.
Demanding attention now,
And now and. oh, now!
Month: November 2020
Thurs 19/11/20 Okay Gov’nor
The workers did work,
And said it’s done! So was it?
Good, but more to do!
Please finish it now.
‘Okay gov’nor!’ they replied,
‘When will we get paid?’
The space is open,
On two levels with some lights,
And I feel some hope.
Weds 18/11/20 Whirlwinds
Whirlwinds came today,
Fiercely twisitng and turning,
Pulling things away.
The wind doctor came,
Put come sunshine in this wind,
That became a breeze.
The world of the clouds,
Is strange and lovely I know.
For I’ve been drifting.
Tues 17/11/20 Bobbits
Weeks of bits and bobs,
Until there’s bobbits out there,
Looking to get in.
I sleep in my breaks,
Just close my eyes, drift away,
Then I’m back again.
Struggling with myself,
To stay focused on what’s right,
And what needs doing.
Mon 16/11/20 Now
DSE Review,
They do not like my office,
They ordered a chair.
What has life become,
The days merging into days,
Each one forgotten.
I live in the now,
I focus on things present,
And how they are now.
Sun 15-11-20 My office
The rain clouds parted,
In spectacular fashion,
For sun’s radiance.
I rearranged it,
My office for this new week,
It makes me feel good.
The night creeping in,
And darkness settles silent,
All around my room.
Sat 15-11-20 Shopping
Shopping day today,
And few are out, on the streets,
But the shops are packed.
I got a few things,
And she said, I spent fifty,
I didn’t, I know!
I got some biscuits.
Cans of soup, and yes some crisps,
And a nice pork pie.
Friday 13-11-20 Lucky for some
Friday the thirteenth,
Lucky for some, but not me,
It’s a normal day.
There’s a main meeting,
Things to do and to get done,
But is seems to stall.
The day ended well.
I turned it off and that’s it,
Weekend time for me.
Thurs 12-11-20 Locked down Busy
I locked myself down,
Avoiding meetings online,
There’s things to get done.
The rain is pouring,
Outside my window tapping,
It’s so refreshing.
The phone is busy,
Calls and texts all follow on,
All throughout the day.
Weds 11-11-20 We remember them
Rememberance day.
And yes I remember some,
That all did their bit.
Some with untold tales,
Some rest now and cannot speak,
We still talk of them.
We remember them,
From the rising of the sun,
To it’s going down.
