I walk London streets,
The alleys and the backways,
I like best the parks.
The road stretches long,
As evening sun blazes down.
Searing its surface.
A mug of black tea,
Simply enjoying its taste,
And relaxing here.
As complex as simple is.
I walk London streets,
The alleys and the backways,
I like best the parks.
The road stretches long,
As evening sun blazes down.
Searing its surface.
A mug of black tea,
Simply enjoying its taste,
And relaxing here.
Sitting in the dark,
The day’s catching up with me,
As I drink my tea.
My heart beats faster,
With the whirling spinning ride,
That is this dreamland.
Easy catching z’s
They run and fly wild each night,
Caught in my dream net.
Calming waters flow,
Wash away,
Cares of today.
This is peace, I know!
Word,
By word,
I write.
Late into night,
Into day.
We lay resting,
Done!
A careful balance,
Of words, nonsense and rhythm.
Crafted too, with shapes.
Do as you do, do!
Don’t let me do it for you.
You do, do it well.
How can I space Haiku,
Layout on a page
or blog,
To get best effect?
Heavy clouds weigh down,
The sea responses with breakers,
The wind joins this game.
Please excuse my French,
It is inexcusable,
In good company.
Work’s caught up with me,
I’m not catching up with it,
What a little shit.
TGIF all!
It’s been a week,
Nearly done.
Then we’ll have some fun!
Changing places now,
People move to leave the train,
Empty seats refill.
The clouds cover me,
Whispering to me, “sleep now”.
I drift, floating now.
People walk around,
Mill about,
Each to their own.
Go with heads in phones.
Torn by wind and sea,
The riped sails flutter helpless,
Taunting to the waves.
Chased by tide and wind,
The sail sheet, half-drowned, half not.
Finds its way to land.
Washed up on the sand,
Waves in vain,
Try to regain,
This ghost to the sea.
