The day was over,
almost before it begun,
and now night drew in.
The tales that were told,
for many years the tales grew,
told on winter nights.
The day the beast came,
and disappeared, and just gone,
never seen again.
What had they seen then,
they didn’t know what scared them,
just the peace it brought.
I sit and wonder,
where’d they go, did they survive,
I want to see them.
I sat by the fire,
watching the embers glowing,
deep in the fire’s midst,
And in that cavern,
I could see their tale moving,
the their wings flapping.
